Maybank2u.com Phishing Email

Can you believe this? I just received an email from Maybank saying that my maybank2u account was blocked due to inactivity or 'becouse' of too many failed login attempts. They asking me to logon the link to restore my account!

phishing email

Of course, i know this is a phishing email. As online banking become more popular, M2u as the Malaysia's best online banking provider also become target of criminals. For those who are using online banking apps, please be more careful and never click on a url link in email to access the online banking portal.

The term ‘phishing’ describes a scam, or fraud, designed to obtain private information like passwords and credit card numbers. Usually, criminals carry out phishing attacks by pretending to be a trusted party tricking you to reveal your online banking username & password.

good thing you're aware of phishing and that you're vigilant about it. a lot of unsuspecting people fall victims to it.

Tssk I got this too but the subject itself made me not click on it. First of all, I do not have an account with this bank. SO I hope nobody gets fooled by them!

that's dangerous especially for companies. Banks should be more secure from hackers than that.

Imaginet (www.imaginet.com.ph) is a good IT company that can protect you from phising.
