What is vanity url ??? is it useful for the facebooker ? Vanity url is a customized link for your profile. Currently our facebook url looks something like http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=999999999 which is meaningless to us. With the vanity url, your facebook url will be http://www.facebook.com/"your-name" which is more meaningful & easy for your friends to locate your profile.
In fact, this vanity url is not something new in the www. Twitter and LinkedIn have had this capability for quite some time.
As at now, there is no any link or button for the facebook users to set their vanity url. But, it is still possible to set your vanity url. Just go to http://facebook.com/username there you will have the option to set your vanity url. Once it's been selected, you won't be able to change or transfer it.
